Encyclopedia of Life (EoL)
- The EoL project is a multi-institution effort to provide information about the Earth's 1.8 million living species. The Encyclopedia of Life is collaborating with the Scientists’ Discovery Room (SDR) to create a version of INVOLV for browsing both EoL (www.eol.org) and the Tree of Life (www.tolweb.org). For this project we are developing both a multi-touch table top interface and a Web-based interface . INVOLV is partially funded by grants to EoL from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
